What is Junior & Adult Tennis Development?
IT’S A PROCESS, A LEARNING PROGRESSION, BABY STEPS that every student (regardless of age or level) of Techtafime Tennis Academy must go through to learn or improve their Tennis. This process normally will take SOME TIME, BETWEEN A YEAR OR TWO. The only way to accelerate this process is to expend a lot more time on court practicing and playing matches.
ON TENNIS DEVELOPMENT winning is not the goal. TO LEARN Sports and Family values, to develop a proper technique, fine foot work, playing the game the right way and to develop a great attitude are the most important objectives in tennis development.
PARENTS AND PLAYERS must believe in the process. PARENTS AND PLAYERS need to TRUST that the process will lead to great results. Attending classes in a regular bases, been passionate about learning the game and getting better, expending time on court practicing and playing the game often will be the only way to accelerate the development process. Become a true Tennis player, love the practices, trust your coaches, embrace all the challenges and everything that comes with Tennis.

We would like to make sure you know that we'll always strive to do our best for your child. Our job is our passion. We specialize in kids. We are serious about kids. It's a privilege, an honor, a meaningful duty and a blessed trust to work with our students. We are not only tennis coaches, we are life coaches.
Our teaching methodology uses professional teaching technique and not a recreational tennis technique. All our Juniors go through "fun" yet intensive mental, technical, physical and professional training. They learn to concentrate no matter their age or level. They learn specialized Tennis foot work for speed, power, mobility and proper balance. They learn to compete.
Our ultimate goal is to develop a decent and respectful person and a relentless, determined, hard working and committed world class athlete. Our curriculum is designed to give them every tennis shot in the book so they can play every ball as well as they can and with absolutely no errors. Our philosophy is to help them combining touch, finesse and power. Competing fearless and producing aggressive tennis, taking the ball early, big serving and big returning playing deliberately. Our focus is not only winning, it's striving for greatness, playing your best at all times no matter what. We do coach our students that we don't have control over the score in a match, but we do have full control on how much effort we put in not giving up, in keep fighting to the very last point.

TENNIS RACQUET, TENNIS SHOES AND APPAREL REQUIRED
Tennis racquets, there are so much variety in the market, there are recreational racquets (not recommended) and Professional Racquets (Highly recommended), we will recommend the best option for you or your child that will fit their size and weight. Tennis requires sudden braking and acceleration movements, jumping and changing direction. To prevent injuries, Tennis Shoes are a must. Tennis Shoes are engineered to provide the necessary support to prevent injuries, for example, ankle rolling and loss of stability which leads to falls. Please avoid using any other type of shoes, like running, walking or workout shoes, when playing tennis. Juniors should wear tennis outfits, preferably shorts with pockets to place tennis balls while playing. Light colors and cottons preferred to stay cool. No jeans or cutoff shorts. Sports caps for full head coverage is recommended, no visors. Getting the right tennis equipment (shoes, tennis racquets, bags, balls, etc.) is a very serious matter. Please, before you make any purchase of tennis equipment, contact us for advice and recommendations.
